Hair Transplant Cost in Phoenix, AZ

What you pay for a hair transplant depends on how many grafts you need, which technique is right for your case, and the experience level of the surgeon performing it. Here is an honest breakdown of what drives the investment.

THE BREAKDOWN

What Determines the Cost of a Hair Transplant

Hair transplant pricing is almost always quoted per graft — one follicular unit containing one to four hairs. The total cost of a procedure is the per-graft rate multiplied by the number of grafts in your session.
Four factors drive that number:
Graft count. The area to be covered determines how many grafts you need. A hairline restoration might require 800 to 1,500 grafts. A more extensive coverage session can exceed 2,500. Dr. Alexander will tell you a realistic estimate at the consultation.
Technique. FUE and the strip method are typically priced differently per graft, with FUE generally carrying a higher per-graft rate due to the added labor of individual extraction. The total investment still depends on graft count and your specific case, which is why the right technique is chosen based on your goals and donor area, not price alone.
Surgeon experience. A surgeon who performs one case per day and has done so since 2003 has a different practice structure than a volume clinic. That time investment is reflected in pricing. It is also reflected in results.
Practice structure. Practices that run multiple simultaneous cases can process more patients at lower per-patient cost. Dr. Alexander runs one case per day, with one surgeon present from start to finish. That is a different offering at a different price point.

THE NATIONAL PICTURE

What the National Range Looks Like

Hair transplant procedures in the United States typically range from $4,000 to $15,000 or more, depending on graft count and practice. This is one of the widest ranges in elective medicine, because what is being sold varies enormously.
A 1,500-graft session at a volume clinic with a surgeon who rotates between rooms is not the same product as a 1,500-graft session with Dr. Alexander. The comparison is not one of price — it is one of what the patient is actually purchasing.

FINANCING

Financing Options

Dr. Alexander does not offer in-house financing. Lending Club Patient Solutions is available as a financing option for qualified patients.
Patients interested in financing are encouraged to review available terms before the consultation so that cost does not become a barrier to an honest conversation about what their case actually requires.
