ABOUT THE DOCTOR

Why Hair, and Why This Way

Dr. Alexander trained in general surgery and moved into hair restoration full time in 2003. At the time, very few surgeons in Arizona were doing the work well. He sought out the best surgeons in the country, learned their techniques directly, and built a practice around precision rather than volume.
From the start, Dr. Alexander used custom-cut blades, sometimes called the lateral-slit technique, to place grafts at high density and at a time when much of the field said dense, natural results were not possible. The results spoke for themselves.

RECOGNITION

Recognized by the People Who Vet Surgeons

Early in his career, Dr. Alexander was admitted to The Bald Truth Network and the Hair Transplant Network, both of which screen surgeons before listing them, on the strength of his technique alone.

PHILOSOPHY

One Patient a Day

Dr. Alexander performs one procedure per day and is personally involved at every stage of the procedure. He personally creates every recipient site, inspects every graft, and places every graft himself; trained technicians assist with donor-area extraction under his direct supervision. He does not run simultaneous cases or rotate between rooms. For a procedure where the difference between a good result and a great one is measured in millimeters and angles, that attention is the point.

An Artist's Eye

Before medicine, Dr. Alexander studied art and design. He approaches a hairline the way a designer approaches any composition: proportion, balance, and how it will read for the rest of a patient’s life. He treats hair restoration as more art than science, and his work reflects it.

Honest Counsel

Patients consistently note the same things: a natural hairline, realistic expectations set up front, and a surgeon who tells them what they actually need. Some patients are better served by one approach than another, and some are better served by waiting. Dr. Alexander will tell you which.
